Illegal Fireworks

Fireworks pose a high risk of starting fires. Each year many fires are started by sparks from fireworks. California has zero tolerance for the possession, sale and use of illegal fireworks. Anyone caught violating the fireworks ban could be charged with a misdemeanor and face a fine of up to $2,000 per violation.

Help reduce the risk of fire by checking burn statuses and following safety guides.
