The South Placer Fire District is governed by a seven-member board, comprised of three members from Division 1 (former Loomis Fire District boundaries) and four members from Division 2 (former South Placer Fire District boundaries). The Board and the District is empowered by California Health and Safety Code Section 13800, known and cited as the Fire Protection District Law of 1987 or as the Bergeson Fire District Law.
The Fire District Board of Directors regularly meets at Station 17, 6900 Eureka Road, Granite Bay, at 6:00 P.M. on the second Wednesday of each month. The public is encouraged to attend these meetings. Meetings are held in-person and virtually online.
